וּבְנָיָ֥הוּ וְיַחֲזִיאֵ֖ל הַכֹּהֲנִ֑ים בַּחֲצֹצְר֣וֹת תָּמִ֔יד לִפְנֵ֖י אֲר֥וֹן בְּרִית־הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.
Rashi on I Chronicles
And Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets constantly Trumpets were the musical instruments of the priests. A similar case is found above (15:24): “And Shebaniah, etc. and Eliezer. the priests, sounding the trumpets.”
